All Photography Tuition is 1:1 or for up to 3 peopleCourses can therefore be tailored precisely to your aims and interests or you can go on one of the courses suggested below.

There are two categories of course:  Beginners and Advanced.

Beginners Course

This is suitable for newcomers to photography and those wanting to progress from using the camera on the Auto setting.  The tuition will go at your pace under the guidance of a patient, helpful photographer.

Aim

At the end of a day's tuition you should have a good understanding of your camera and the ability and confidence to make adjustments to your camera settings as required.

A Typical Day

Meet up in Hay-on-Wye or at your accommodation if it's easier for you.  Short drive to a view point overlooking the Wye Valley.  15 minute, easy to understand, easy to remember theory session.  Take pictures, lots of pictures!  We'll visit many glorious locations with stunning views of the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons.  For lunch we'll stop at a good old fashioned country pub or visit an historic cellar bar with its 12th century vaulted ceiling.  After lunch we'll look at close up photography and capture more breathtaking views.  If you don't mind a bit of walking we can visit a waterfall in a beautiful remote valley.  Lastly, if we have time we can review the photos on a laptop.

Note on Walking

Apart from the waterfall, which is a 1/2 mile easy walk from the car, this trip involves very little walking.
